VLADIKAVKAZ, June 28 (Itar-Tass) - More than a million people in the world have put their signatures under the Beslan Proclamation against terror. The proclamation was adopted in the city of Beslan, known to the whole world as the site of terrorist act staged at a secondary school and addressed to the people of good will all over the world, head of the informational - analytical department of the North Ossetian parliament Fatima Khabalova told Tass on Tuesday. The Russian Foreign Ministry offered assistance in the organization of the Beslan campaign, she said. North Ossetia alone has collected more than three hundred signatures, Khabalova said. Letters containing signatures in support of the Beslan campaign are arriving at the North Ossetian mission in Moscow and the Russian Foreign Ministry every day, Khabalova said. The Beslan Proclamation urges all the people and states regardless of their racial, religious, political or other differences to pool efforts for defence of the children of the planet from terror and in the name of the future of the mankind. The document denounces terrorism as the worst evil in the contemporary world. Reminding of the horrible days of the Beslan tragedy, the authors of the document stated that the support they received from other people imbued them with the faith in the humanity as capable to withstand this mischief. The campaign launched in Beslan will be crowned with events timed to coincide with the tragic anniversary of the Beslan tragedy on September 3. The Beslan Proclamation appeals to all the people in the world, urging them to say, "no” to terrorism. All the signatures in support of the Beslan campaign will be put inside a capsule-shaped container and placed at the foundation of the memorial to the Beslan victims. Meanwhile, Tass reported from Washington that representatives of the US Congress and the US public organization "Voices of September, 11th" expressed solidarity with the people of Beslan. On Monday, they visited the Russian embassy in Washington and put their signatures under the Beslan Proclamation. The US organization turned over letters addressed to Beslan families and 300 pretty teddy bears in gift to Beslan children.
