VOICES News Alert

REGISTER NOW TO RIDE FOR VOICES THIS SPRING!

For the second year, Voices of September 11th is participating in the TD Bank Five Boro Bike Tour on May 1st and the best time to register is now.

Registration opens tomorrow Tuesday, February 1 at 10:00 AM at www.bikenewyork.org and is limited to the first 32,000 entrants. The slots fill up within hours, so it is recommended that you sign up as close to 10:00 AM as you can. When you register, you can indicate that you are riding for VOICES, which has been chosen to be one of 30 charity partners to participate.

In addition, Voice of September 11th has been allocated 20 charity partner entries, which will be available only after regular registration closes. To ride on behalf of VOICES, you must commit to raising a minimum of $1000. The funds raised will help VOICES to continue its important work of providing information and support services to the 9/11 community, and in working with families to expand the 9/11 Living Memorial Project that commemorates the nearly 3,000 lives lost and documents the stories of survivors. For more information about this special opportunity, contact Stephanie Cowin at scowin@voicesofsept11.org or call the VOICES office at 203-966-3911. Visit our website at www.voicesofsept11.org.

Last year, sixty-nine energetic cyclists from across the US and Canada rode on behalf of VOICES. Several cyclists participated in memory of loved ones lost on 9/11. In addition, members of various police and fire departments participated in honor of their fallen colleagues. Our friend, videographer Jean Garten, produced a short video that will give you an idea of how much fun it was to bike car free through the boroughs of New York City.

We hope you will join us for this very special event!
