VOICES’ New Brunswick office is announcing a Speaker Series to provide 9/11 families, survivors and rescue and recovery workers with a community of support while promoting self-expression, healing and resilience. They will be held at our office at 84 Albany Street in New Brunswick. Space is limited. If you would like to make a reservation, please contact Sheri Burkat at 732-543-2300.

Eileen Ellis is a full-blooded Mohawk Indian Medicine Woman. She possesses a Master’s Degree in Social Work and has been trained by the Four Winds Society in Energy Medicine. Her teaching focuses on Native American wisdom practices and re-connecting us to Spirit and Nature.

Ellis Eisner, a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, has been a professional Art Therapist for more than ten years. She works for The Resiliency Matters Network, an evolving network of mind/body healing professionals with a common goal of providing techniques to create peace of mind and alance while addressing coping skills to address trauma and suffering.

Nicci Spinazzola is a licensed marriage and family therapist, licensed professional counselor, and board-certified expert in traumatic stress, specializing in adolescent and family treatment related to trauma and loss. She is the co-author of helping School Staff Prepare for the 9/11 Anniversary and Beyond 9/11, an award winning video.
 



During the months of March & April, Voices of September 11th will host 9/11 Living Memorial Workshops in several locations in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York. VOICES staff is available to meet with you at our New Canaan, CT or New Brunswick, NJ offices or to host a workshop in your community.

VOICES staff meets one-on-one with participants to organize and scan photographs and personal keepsakes to include in the 9/11 Living Memorial Project. Participants are invited to bring in photographs, written tributes, eulogies, biographies, newspaper articles and other personal keepsakes to honor those who died and to document the inspirational stories for future generations. Unless otherwise arranged, all materials will be returned at the workshop. Individual appointments last approximately 90 minutes.
