Dear Families and Friends,

The friendship we have developed over the years with the families from Oklahoma City means a great deal to so many of us.  So, it is with deep sadness that I send our message of sympathy to the communities of Oklahoma City and Moore, who are recovering from the devastating tornado that took so many lives and injured hundreds of people.

We will always be grateful to the Oklahoma City families and survivors who offered their friendship and support in the aftermath of 9/11.  Thanks to the support of  Anthony Gardner and the WTC United Family Group, they participated in the VOICES Information Forum over the past 11 years.  As Anthony has said, "we have come together in a spirit of unity and shared experience to help each other heal and move forward."  More recently, we experienced their warm hospitality firsthand during a visit to Oklahoma City.  The community welcomed us with open arms, as we spent time together discussing how we can help other communities.

In that spirit of unity, we want to share information about the ways you can help those in need in Oklahoma.  This includes a list of charitable organizations that are providing assistance and resources that are available for victims and their families.  We hope you will share this information with others who might find it helpful.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those who died, the injured, those who lost their homes and the community supporting them.

Sincerely,

Mary Fetchet & the VOICES Staff
