Dear Families and Friends,

Our partners at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum have asked us to share exciting news about the upcoming opening of the 9/11 Memorial Museum! In the email below, they provide details about the Dedication Period that begins on Thursday, May 15, preceding the public opening on Wednesday May 21, 2014.

The opening of the Museum would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of thousands of people for nearly 13 years. I would like to take this opportunity to recognize four individuals who we have had the privilege of working with closely over the past several years. Many of you know Joe Daniels and Alice Greenwald in their leadership roles at the 9/11 Memorial Museum. For many years, they have participated in our annual Information Forums and Always Remember Galas, taking time out of their busy schedules to update our members about the progress at the museum. Jan Ramirez has worked with us to ensure that the photographs families contributed to the VOICES 9/11 Living Memorial Project are included in the museum's In Memoriam exhibit. Ryan Pawling has coordinated our partnership - keeping us informed so that we can keep you informed.

Recognizing that the opening of the Museum will be an emotional time for many of you, we want to reinforce that our staff is available. We remain committed to helping family members, responders and survivors cope with their feelings as we take this next step together in the healing process. If we can be of any assistance, please call us at 203-966-3911 or email me at mafetchet@voicesofsept11.org.
