(May 23,  2008) – Tickets and a house rental to a 2009 PGA Players Championship at Sawgrass; a week in a Park City, Utah ski house both summer and winter; a four-bedroom home on Bald Head Island, North Carolina’s southernmost cape island and ringside tickets to a World Wrestling Entertainment event including a backstage meet and greet the stars opportunity, are among the  auction items at the first-ever fundraising gala for Voices of September 11th, based in New Canaan. The gala will be held Thursday, May 29, 2008, at the Greenwich Country Club.

Also available for auction are two owner’s box seats at Fenway Park, September 27, for the Red Sox vs. Yankees game.   The dozens of live and silent auction items also include a private tour of the Philip Johnson Glass House, a weekend in New York City at the Carlyle Hotel and a chance to win a limited edition canvas Flag of Honor that contains the names of all those who perished in the terrorist attacks of September 11th.

“I am grateful for the generosity of our volunteers, auction and financial donors who have come together to help make this first fundraising event a huge success.  It reminds me of how people in this country came together following the days and weeks after 9/11.”  said Founding Director Mary Fetchet

Hosted by NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams, the “Always Remember” Gala will include a talk by ESPN sportscaster Chris Berman, and entertainment by the Harlem Gospel Choir, considered among the most famous gospel choirs in America.
