Dear Family and Friends,
All of us at VOICES want to extend our best wishes to you and your family during this holiday season. As you gather for Thanksgiving and remember the precious lives lost on 9/11, we hope your family will discuss how to honor their memory in a meaningful way.
Last November twenty-five members of the Hargrave family participated in the 9/11 Living Memorial Project at our New Jersey office. Working with our staff, they selected photographs and other mementos as they shared personal stories about the life of T.J. Hargrave. As the Hargrave family will attest to, our staff is committed to assisting families through the emotional, but healing process of creating a thoughtful remembrance of your loved ones for future generations.
Once you've had an opportunity to discuss the project, encourage your family and friends to participate. Our staff will meet with you to scan pictures, written materials and photograph personal keepsakes. Appointments can be scheduled at our Connecticut and New Jersey offices or in a number of communities where we have scheduled workshops in the coming months.
Also, we want to remind you of a couple of special upcoming events. On Wednesday, December 1st at 11:00 AM, the Patriot Flag and The Rolling Memorial will be on display at the Barnegat Firehouse on Birdsall Street and East Bay Avenue in Barnegat, New Jersey. All 9/11 Families, First Responders and the community are invited to attend.
On Tuesday, December 14th VOICES will host our 2nd Annual Holiday Open House from 3:00PM - 7:00PM in our New Brunswick office at 84 Albany Street. The holidays are always a time to gather with family and friends and this is our way of thanking all of our members and partners for your ongoing support and friendship.
As always, all of us at VOICES want to extend our best wishes to you and your family for a happy Thanksgiving!
Thoughts of loved ones gathering together,
Pleasant pictures from past times appear
That dwell in our hearts and our memories
To remind us of those we hold dear. |
Warm regards,
Mary Fetchet & The VOICES Staff
