9/11 Living Memorial Appointments
During the months of November & December, Voices of September 11th will host 9/11 Living Memorial Workshops in several locations in Connecticut, New Jersey, New York and Washington, D.C. VOICES staff is available to meet with you at our New Canaan, CT or New Brunswick, NJ offices or to host a workshop in your community. We are in the process of adding several workshops in New Jersey and we will send you an update on the new schedule as soon as it's available.

VOICES staff meets one-on-one with participants to organize and scan photographs and personal keepsakes to include in the 9/11 Living Memorial Project. Participants are invited to bring in photographs, written tributes, eulogies, biographies, newspaper articles and other personal keepsakes to honor those who died and to document the inspirational stories for future generations. Unless otherwise arranged, all materials will be returned at the workshop. Individual appointments last approximately 90 minutes.

Discrimination Lingers in Post 9/11 Era
A decade after the Sept. 11 attacks, Yale students are still discussing their effect on the way minorities are perceived in the United States. The South Asian Society at Yale, in collaboration with the Yale Chaplain's Office and two other student groups, held a forum Monday night for reflection on racial profiling in the post-9/11 world as part of a series of University-wide events commemorating the 10-year anniversary of the attacks. Since 9/11, Logan has Led Way on Security
Logan also became the first airport to deploy full-body scanners, called advanced imaging technology, on March 8, 2010. The machines detect non-metallic weapons such as explosives that can be hidden beneath a person's clothing. More.
Concerns Over 9/11 Memorial Funding
The 9/11 Memorial in lower Manhattan was built mostly with private donations. But the non-profit that runs the memorial says tax dollars are needed to maintain it. More.
Agreement Reached to Rebuild Greek Orthodox Church Destroyed on 9/11
St. Nicholas Church, destroyed 10 years ago in the Sept. 11 attacks, will be rebuilt near the original site in Manhattan, according to an agreement signed Friday. More.
DHS Bill Contains Call for D Block Allocation
Did not have the force of law according to a copy of the legislation. A Department of Homeland Security authorization bill that passed out of the House Homeland Security Committee Thursday included an amendment calling for allocating D block spectrum for public safety, but it did not have the force of law according to a copy of the legislation.
