VOICES News Alert

August 6, 2012

Dear Families and Friends,

We are profoundly saddened to hear the news of yesterday's shooting at the Sikh temple in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. Although the event is under investigation, the Oak Creek Police are currently treating this as a 'domestic terrorism incident'. Six individuals tragically died, and three were wounded, including one police officer.

The Oak Creek police officers responding to the event demonstrated bravery throughout the incident, preventing others from serious injury. It is these sorts of selfless acts, which remind us of the heroism of those responding to the attacks on 9/11 and other senseless acts of violence.

Just over two weeks after the shooting in Aurora, Colorado, this event has left us shocked and saddened. We extend our sympathy to the families who lost loved ones and pray for those recovering, hoping that they will find strength through the support of their community.

Please contact our office at 203-966-3911 or 732-543-2300 if we can be of any assistance.

Warm Regards
