Dear Families and Friends,
As we gather to celebrate Thanksgiving, we count our many blessings, especially the wonderful family and friends who have supported us over the years. We also pause to remember and celebrate the lives of the special people who are no longer with us.
|
Thoughts of loved ones gathering together,
Pleasant pictures from past times appear
That dwell in our hearts and our memories
To remind us of those we hold dear.

Recognizing that the holidays are a time of reflection, we want to share an article written by Dr. Robin Goodman many years ago, that is still relevant. All of us at VOICES send our best wishes and appreciation for your friendship and support. May you experience the true meaning of Thanksgiving, and find peace and happiness on this special holiday!

Sincerely,
Mary Fetchet & the VOICES Staff

The Holiday Season by Dr. Robin F. Goodman
The winter holidays seem to follow fast on the heels of the September 11th anniversary. Like many occasions, they can be an exciting time for some and a challenging one for others. There are an abundance of public reminders about the holidays - at places of worship, in shopping malls, in the mail, at school, and at work - that may trigger thoughts of holidays past. More.
