#GivingTuesday

December 3, 2013

Dear Families and Friends,

This year on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, Voices of September 11th is joining with others in celebrating a day dedicated to giving. On this day, charities, families, businesses, community centers, students, retailers and more will all come together for #GivingTuesday - a national movement to celebrate giving during the Holiday Season!

How can you get involved?

Sgt. Frederick's Story *
Donate today so that VOICES can continue to update and expand the 9/11 Living Memorial Project that commemorates the nearly 3,000 lives lost and documents stories of survivors. This important resource for future generations!

*
Tweet, post on Facebook, or instagram what you will celebrate on #GivingTuesday using hashtag: #GivingTuesday

*
Take a pic, tag it #GivingTuesday, and upload to your Instagram, Twitter or Facebook from now until December 4.

*
Many companies match employee charitable donations (even if you are retired!), so reach out to your HR department and see if your gift can keep giving.

Victor's StoryThe #GivingTuesday movement epitomizes the spirit of our work at Voices of September 11th, which is one of supporting families and communities. The stories of Victor, Dennis and Margaret are part of the lasting legacy that is preserved through the 9/11 Living Memorial Project.

What we've learned in working with 9/11 families and survivors for over 12 years, we carry with us every day. The stories you've shared about your loved ones, and your personal experiences will educate future generations. Our work with you, will help guide our work in supporting families and communities recover from other tragedies - making the world a richer place!

On December 3, #GivingTuesday, share your story. Tell us about the things that matter most to you, and what you are thankful for.
