Dear Families,

U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) is holding a press conference tomorrow, Tuesday, July 19 at 11:30 am on the steps of the U.S. District Court in New Haven, CT and has asked us to extend an invitation to 9/11 family members living in the area to attend.

Senator Blumenthal helped to lead the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act (JASTA) to allow victims of terrorism and their families to sue foreign actors like Saudi Arabia that sponsor or support violent extremism. Blumenthal and the 9/11 families will call on the House to pass this vital measure to provide justice and compensation for victims and their families. The measure passed in the Senate in May.

The press conference is being held following the release of the 28 Pages, which provided new revelations exposing Saudi ties to the 9/11 terror attacks, where families of 9/11 victims will demand justice for victims of terrorism.

"These new revelations were a chilling indictment of Saudi Arabia's ties to violent extremism-payments to terrorists and obstruction of U.S. antiterrorism investigations that raise serious concerns about the Saudi role in the 9/11 attacks. The Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act that I helped lead to passage in the Senate would empower victims to seek justice against foreign actors like Saudi Arabia who support terrorism-discouraging these foreign enablers and providing simple, humanitarian justice to victims and their families. I call on the House to take up and pass this important legislation," Senator Blumenthal said.

Warm regards,
