It is with deep sorrow that we regret to inform you that our dear friend and leader, Kurt Wolfgruber, passed away peacefully this morning following a brief, but serious illness. For over a decade Kurt served as Chairman of the Board at Voices of September 11th, with dedication and commitment to ensuring all those impacted by 9/11 had the support they needed to heal. Kurt had a wonderful sense of humor, was a passionate optimist in overcoming adversity, and was a strong believer in the power of resilience. We are deeply grateful for Kurt's steadfast leadership and thoughtful guidance that has shaped the organization into what it has become today.

 

Kurt has been a personal friend that we have cherished for more than 25 years and he will be sorely missed. Please join us in keeping Kurt's wife, Kim, and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
