Dear Families and Friends,
As we gather tomorrow to commemorate the 18th Anniversary - in New York City, at the Pentagon, in Shanksville, PA and in local communities, we remember the 2,977 precious lives lost on that tragic day.
September 11 is also a day to pay tribute to all those who have been affected since. We honor the lives of the over 2,300 who have died of 9/11 related illnesses, and offer our support to their grieving families. We also recognize the over 52,000 survivors and responders who are currently suffering from serious medical and mental health conditions.
In spite of our challenges, the 9/11 community has found strength and resilience, thanks to the friendship of those who have supported us on our journey. On this 18th Anniversary may the flame of hope shine bright, because with hope - peace, faith and love transform our lives.
With gratitude for your friendship and support,
Mary Fetchet and the VOICES Staff
