Our VOICES Together is a series of programs that provide the 9/11 community with opportunities for peer-to-peer support to promote healing and resilience. These programs include discussion/support groups, Facebook groups, and workshops for families, responders, survivors, and the families of responders and survivors who have died since 9/11. We are delighted to announce the first shared experience in this series, with more announcements in the coming weeks.
Our VOICES Together:
Supporting Ourselves and Our Peers in the 9/11 Community
Thursday, July 29th
7:00-8:30pm
As we approach the 20th Anniversary of September 11th, having the support of our peers in the 9/11 community is essential to our personal resilience and well-being. Join us virtually, for an engaging presentation and intimate small group conversations with your peers who have a shared experience.
The program will begin with a presentation by Drs. Suzanne Phillips and Madelyn Miller of the American Group Psychotherapy Association about ways to cope with, and prepare for, the commemoration of this important milestone. Participants will break into small discussion groups facilitated by a clinician, to allow for meaningful conversation. This virtual gathering is open to 9/11 victims’ families, responders, survivors, and families of those who have died of 9/11 related illnesses. The program is free, but registration is required.
