This year we recognize Bob for the fortitude he demonstrated after suffering a traumatic brain injury, and his subsequent resolve to improve the lives of others. In 2006, Bob was reporting in Iraq during the Gulf War when his armored vehicle was hit by an IED. Since then, Bob and his wife Lee co-authored the book, In An Instant, A Family’s Journey of Love and Healing, while also establishing the Bob Woodruff Foundation to support veterans returning from the battlefield.
