Dear Families and Friends,
All of us at VOICES offer our condolences to the families of those who lost a loved in the wildfires that continue to threaten the Los Angeles area. Our thoughts are with those who have lost their homes, and we are grateful to the first responders who are working tirelessly to fight the blaze. Many of us have family and friends who have been impacted. We understand the magnitude of their loss and how in a moment’s notice their lives have changed. They will need our support.
Anyone who has suffered a tragedy knows that watching the event unfold can cause heightened anxiety and stress, as well as a feeling of helplessness. We encourage you to take care of yourselves by limiting exposure to ongoing news reports. If you have children, reassure them that they are safe while also validating their concerns.
In an effort to provide support, we have included a list of vetted organizations that are accepting donations, as well as resources to help you cope with the emotional toll of this crisis.
To those affected, we extend our heartfelt concern and unwavering support in the days, months and years ahead.
If you or anyone you know has been impacted, feel free to email us at support@voicescenter.org or call our office at 203-966-3911.
With warm regards,
Mary Fetchet & the VOICES Team
